A new rental building that reportedly pays homage to Long Island City’s Dutch history has now launched leasing on its 91 apartments. The 12-story Huis24, as this building is known (huis is the Dutch for house), comes with a mix of studios through two-bedrooms with prices ranging from $2,200 to $3,425 per month.
The project was designed by My Architect PC, and some of the standout features in the apartments here include the floor-to-ceiling windows, Caesarstone countertops in the kitchen, radiant heated flooring in the bathrooms, hardwood floors, and washers and dryers in-unit.
The rental was developed by SMA Equities and ARI Investors, and some of the amenities future residents can look forward to include a gym, a screening room, a recreation room, and shared outdoor spaces on the second and 11th floors of the building.
The building, located at 41-22 24th Street, was first announced in late 2013. At that time, the apartment count was just a little bit lower at 87 units. The rental topped out in March last year, and now residents can start moving in. The first thing they will see is the lobby, which was reportedly inspired by the Whitney Museum, but we’ll let you be the judges of that.
