Yet another high-rise tower joins Long Island City’s stock of new rental buildings. 1 QPS Tower, so named for its location at 23-10 Queens Plaza South, started leasing efforts last week with a handful of listings that currently range from a $1,989/month studio to a $3,943/month two-bedroom.
Per the Journal, 80 percent of the building’s 391 rentals will be studios and one-bedrooms, where rents will start from just under $2,000/month for a studio and at $2,845/month for a one-bedroom on two-year leases. (Those prices account for two months free of rent.)
The 481-foot tower, which stands directly behind the Silvercup Studios sign, is being developed by Property Markets Group with Hakim Organization and New Valley LLC.
The building’s marketing jargon promises 1 QPS will be “a testament to the proposition that life should be lived on the highest level possible” which apparently means having bonkers amenities like a 42-foot rock climbing wall, rooftop swimming pool, and communal kitchen at the ready. The tower also bills itself as “a place where residents can thrive socially and experience a full life without ever having to leave home.”
Details on the apartments themselves are sparse, but listings say they’ll include white quartz countertops in the kitchen and bathroom, and have Duravit soaking tubs.
