Yet another huge Long Island City rental gears up to launch leasing this summer

By amol on July 13, 2017

The amenity-packed rental building right next to the 39th Avenue subway station in Long Island City is now just a month away from launching leasing. Developed by the Lightstone Group, ARC, as is this rental building is known, comprises of 428 apartments that come in studio through two-bedroom variants, and is located at 30-02 39th Avenue.

It’s the plethora of amenities here that really puts it in a league of new rental buildings enticing tenants with a vast range of options including Extell’s massive Hell’s Kitchen building, 555Ten, and the Ashland in Fort Greene.

At the ARC, amenities include a rooftop, 70-foot-long saltwater swimming pool. It will be part of a rooftop club that has bocce courts, barbecues, and cabanas for outdoor dining. On the lower floors, there’s a basketball court, a golf simulator, a private interior courtyard that allows residents to garden, a fitness center with a yoga studio, a game room, and a library, among several other amenities.

As for the apartments, they will come with high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and Bosch appliances including a washer-dryer in-unit. The project was announced in the fall of 2015, and a $75 million construction loan procured the following spring allowed the rental to move forward. The 10-story, GKV Architects-designed building topped out in January this year. Lightstone hasn’t yet provided details on the pricing, but they will reportedly start in the low $2,000s.
