Tishman Speyer’s 1800-unit Long Island City rental, Jackson Park, will debut this fall

By amol on July 13, 2017

Tishman Speyer’s massive three-building rental development in Long Island City is gearing up for its launch this fall, and with that the developer has released a teaser site for the development, and unveiled a new rendering of the large amenity center that will accompany this overall development.

The three buildings together will now be known as Jackson Park, and bring over 1,800 apartments to the neighborhood. They’re part of the thousands of new apartments coming to Long Island City, a neighborhood that now outpaces the rest of the United States in terms of new apartment construction.

Jackson Park’s rentals will be spread out between three towers: a 53, 44, and 42-story tower located at 28-34 Jackson Avenue, 28-10 Jackson Avenue, and 30-02 Queens Boulevard respectively.

In addition to the residential buildings, Tishman Speyer is also constructing a five-story “amenity clubhouse,” that will include a plethora of indoor and outdoor amenities, including the outdoor pool and lounge depicted in the new renderings. The clubhouse will be directly connected to all three rental buildings underground.

Above ground, all four of these structures, will be connected and surrounded by a 1.6-acre private park. The overall complex was designed by Mack Scogin Merrill Elam Architects and Hill West Architects, and is located along the thriving Jackson Avenue, where several other projects are now in various stages of development. Residents will start moving into the first of the three rental buildings by the end of this year.

“In keeping with our tradition of creating sophisticated living and dynamic work environments in the world’s top markets, Jackson Park is destined to become Long Island City’s most desirable address” Rob Speyer, the CEO of Tishman Speyer, said in a statement.

Tishman’s residential towers are also located across from their massive office complex, now being called JACX, which will bring two 26-story towers to the neighborhood. Already, WeWork has signed for a 250,000-square-foot space here. A food hall, coffee shop, restaurants, and a fitness center are also all in the works at the office complex.
