A cafe/bakery based in Williamsburg is opening a location in Hunters Point.
Black Star Bakery, located at 595 Metropolitan Avenue, is opening a cafe at 2-14 50th Avenue, in the space that was formerly occupied by Beans, Grapes and Leaves.
LICtalk was first to report the story.
Workers at Black Star confirmed the opening and said the menu would be similar to the Brooklyn location.
Brooklyn location
The Brooklyn cafe offers an extensive coffee menu, sandwiches, pastries and breakfast items.
The menu is similar to what Beans, Grapes and Leaves offered, which closed in August 2016 after being open for about two years.
