COURT SQUARE — The city is now accepting housing lottery applications for 34 affordable apartments with a gym, laundry and terrace lounge in Long Island City, including studio units renting for $908 a month.

The apartments are expected to open this summer at 27-19 44th Dr. off Jackson Avenue, a 27-story building called “Watermark LIC” where a portion of homes are being set aside as affordable in exchange for a tax exemption the developer will receive under the 421-a program.

Of the 34 affordable apartments, 14 are studios renting for $908 a month available to single tenants who earn between $33,018 to $40,080 a year, according to the city’s Department of Housing, Preservation and Development.

An additional 15 one-bedroom apartments will cost $974 a month for a person who earns between $35,319 to $40,080 a year, or two people who make between $35,349 to $45,840 annually.

There will also be five two-bedroom units that will go for $1,176 a month for two-person households making between $42,309 and $45,840 a year, three people who earn $42,309 to $51,540 or four people making $42,309 to $ 57,240, according to HPD.

The building itself will be equipped with a live-in super and video intercom system. Tenants can also pay for access to other amenities like a gym, garden, bike storage, laundry room and a terrace lounge, HPD’s listing shows.

The deadline to apply for the affordable units is June 14. Residents of Queens Community Board 2 will get a preference for half of the apartments.
