Long Island City site where Aerosmith production set was built is for sale

By amol on November 3, 2016

A 47,500-square-foot site in Long Island City could fetch $39 million. The site, at 37-11 30th St., with additional frontage on 31st Street and 37th Avenue, includes a 45,000-square-foot building, parking lot and two-family home, according to the New York Post. It is owned by the family of Bob See, who founded and housed See Factor Industry, a full-service production company known for creating rock band Aerosmith’s giant lighted “A,” at the site from the 1970s on.

See died in 2015 and his family has decided to move the company to a new location. According to the brokerage marketing the site, Greiner-Maltz Real Estate, a 142,500-square-foot residential project can be built there. The parcel is the largest development site for sale north of Queens Plaza, the brokerage said.
