‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ will film simulated explosions in Long Island City today

By amol on September 28, 2016

The newest Spider-Man reboot is filming in Long Island City today and residents should expect some simulated explosions today.

According to the 114th Precinct, the production company will film a controlled explosion between 3 and 6 p.m. at 43-23 37th Ave. near New York Presbyterian Church.

“Spider-Man: Homecoming” will be the second reboot of the Marvel comic. Spider-Man will be played by Tom Holland and the film will follow Peter Parker as he attends high school in Queens while balancing his newfound powers.

On Sept. 27, Sunnyside residents witnessed Spider-Man hanging from a fire escape on Queens Boulevard and 44th Street, according to Facebook group 7 Train Blues.
