Would you like to live in this $5M Long Island City penthouse?

By amol on September 15, 2016

In the city that never sleeps, only a very few sleep in a dwelling as luxurious as this $5 million penthouse up for sale in Long Island City. Even if you’re not exactly on the market for this spectacular condo, you can always dream/fret and take a closer look at what is currently one of the most expensive residential listings in Queens.

This three-bedroom, three-bathroom is located at Long Island City’s waterfront (no surprise there) and its 2,108 square feet sound like a sprawling kingdom in comparison with the reality of NYC closet-apartments.

The future penthouse dwellers will be able to enjoy the truly enviable views of the river and the Manhattan skyline. The Zillow listing describes the penthouse as “an oasis in the sky” and its best feature must be the expansive wrap-around terrace, which can be easily imagined as a site of many glorious sunset parties.

What else do we like? The really, really tall “cathedral” ceilings, and of course the floor-to-ceiling windows, because for some reason we humans love to live surrounded by large amounts of air and light.

Our least favorite part of the penthouse (aside from the price tag) would have to be the kitchen. Despite it being equipped with really fancy appliances such as Sub-Zero refrigerator, Viking stove and microwave oven, Bosch dishwasher and a wine cooler, for $5 million, we would like to see something more spacious and spectacular. We’re simply not fans of this long and thin layout. What if you want to really rock out while cooking?

This penthouse has its own vented washer and dryer. Damn, right?!

Naturally, the building itself is very fancy and the ownership of the penthouse comes with free gym, enormous lap pool, sauna and spa, cinema room, outdoor lounge/rooftop terrace with barbecue grills and cabanas, a billiards room and an indoor private lounge.

So would you like to move in? Please share your thoughts in the comments!
