LONG ISLAND CITY, Queens (WABC) —

The search is on for the suspect who pushed a 69-year-old man down a set of stairs at a subway stop in Queens.

Police reports say that on Wednesday, the 69-year-old was pushed inside the 36th Street M/R station in Long Island City. The victim fractured his knee in the fall, and was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital where he is in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a black man between 25-30 years old, 6’0″, heavy set and bald. He was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt and black pants.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
