Driver Killed In Long Island City Crash

By amol on June 22, 2016

A 53-year-old Glendale man died on June 13, when he ran through a stop sign and was struck by a box truck on Review Avenue, police said.

Cops said Bruce Lanzer was traveling southbound on 37th Street at about 8 p.m. on June 13, when he blew through a stop sign at Review Avenue.

Lanzer’s four-door sedan collided with a box truck traveling westbound at the intersection, police said. He was taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The 26-year-old, unidentified truck driver remained at the scene and was not charged in the crash, pending the outcome of an ongoing investigation, police said.
