3-Alarm Fire Breaks Out In Long Island City Laundromat

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)– Firefighters were working to battle flames in Long Island City, Queens after a fire broke out at a one-story laundromat.

FDNY said firefighters responded to the scene at 13 Street and 40 Avenue at 3:45 p.m. Sunday. The incident was first reported as a 2-alarm fire, but quickly escalated to a 3-alarm fire by 4:02 p.m.

The fire extended to a furniture store, but no injuries have been reported, according to FDNY.
