As part of its rebranded new image this year, Northwell Health is expanding alternative healthcare for patients.
Northwell Health and ProHEALTH Urgent Care are hosting a grand opening of a brand new urgent care center located at 50-01 2nd St. in Long Island City. The opening will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1. The center will operate from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. The community is invited to the center to meet the staff and tour the facility.
This opening marks one of fifty new care centers that Northwell Health has opened in partnership with local urgent care companies in the last three years as part of its mission to expand care options for patients beyond hospitals.
Urgent care centers seek to streamline admission for urgent medical attention and treatment, with exceptional care in a stress-free environment. These centers provide an alternative to the stressful experience of a hospital visit, accommodating patients when their doctor is unavailable or when they require services that their physician may not provide, such as x-rays or lab tests.
ProHEALTH Care Associates is the largest independent multi-specialty practice in New York, caring for patients in New York City, Long Island, and Westchester, as well as being the official urgent care provider for both the Brooklyn Nets and New York Islanders.
