New York, NY Adding to the growing appeal of Long Island City – one of New York City’s hottest neighborhoods to live, work and play – World Wide Group today announced that QLIC, the developer’s amenity-rich residential tower at Queens Plaza and 24th Street, will celebrate the grand opening of the leasing center on July 25th, with advanced previews of the building starting on July 16th.

Since launching pre-leasing and a teaser marketing campaign for QLIC in May 2015, World Wide has received over 2,500 inquiries regarding the building’s variety of 421 studio, one-, two-, and three bedroom rental units.

“We are thrilled to celebrate the grand opening of QLIC,” said David Lowenfeld, Chief Operating Officer of The World Wide Group. “This is a significant milestone not only for World Wide Group, but for this neighborhood. With beautiful apartments and a host of amenities, QLIC is setting a new standard for residential living in Long Island City.”

QLIC features over 28,000 s/f of amenities, including a state-of-the-art fitness center, swimming pool, outdoor barbeques and picnic areas, a private garden, indoor parking and a bike room. QLIC residents are just steps away from a variety of retail, dining, art and cultural destinations located in the heart of Long Island City’s vibrant neighborhood.

Set to welcome its first residents in September 2015, QLIC is joining a host of new residential, hotel, and office developments in Long Island City. The building is within a five-block radius of eight subway lines (7, N, Q, E, F, M, R and G) and the trip to 59th Street and Lexington Avenue is one stop away and takes approximately five minutes. The entrance to the building is adjacent to Long Island City’s brand new, highly-used bike path to Manhattan.

Partners on the project include Rabina Properties and Cammeby’s International Group. Aptsandlofts.com is the assigned leasing agent and Perkins Eastman is the architect on the team.
