A man fell 20 feet into a sidewalk grate at 24-20 Jackson Ave. in Long Island City on Tuesday morning, the FDNY said.
The man was transported to Bellevue Hospital, where he is in serious but stable condition, according to the FDNY. He has not yet been identified.
The NYPD said the man had removed the grate, and then fell in.
