With its appearance on the market, the amenity-heavy QLIC joins the pack of Long Island City buildings wooing renters into Queens. The large building at Queens Plaza North and 24th Street brings 421 apartments to the gentrifying neighborhood, as well as 28,000 square feet of amenity space including a a rooftop pool, cabanas, a roof deck with an open-air theater and barbecue, a landscaped courtyard with a fire pit, media lounge, game room, gym, indoor parking, and a bike room. World Wide Group—also behind one of 57th Street’s uber-pricey towers—is developing the building where apartments start at $2,026 for studios, $2,285 for one-bedrooms, $3,595 for two-bedrooms, and $4,593 for three-bedrooms. Apartments are currently being offered without a brokerage fee and with one month’s rent on the house.
