If the 1,789 (all market rate) apartments that Tishman Speyer is bringing to Long Island City aren’t enough, developer Ranger Properties is contributing another 55 of its own with its new building at 37-10 Crescent Street. The six-story project is being designed by architectural firm Fogarty Finger, who are also designing another nearby residential project, also from Ranger Properties. 37-10 Crescent will be, according to the architect, “clad in a lightweight cement board rain screen [with] Exposed fasteners, a dynamic rhythm of window openings, and dashes of color form[ing] a counterpoint to the crisp rigor of the skin.” It is expected to open at the end of 2016.
