Police are investigating a deadly assault in Long Island City.
Police say they found 32-year-old Jose Malaga bleeding from his head at Vernon Boulevard and 50th Avenue around 2:30 p.m. Friday. He was pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital.
Sources say it appeared the man was drinking with friends in front of a bodega.
According to sources, a fight broke out with people in a car they thought was a livery service.
No arrests have been made.
