LONG ISLAND CITY — The Center for Holographic Arts will return to the neighborhood for a one-night exhibit Friday that will look back on 2014, including on its former home at the Clock Tower building.

The show, “Parallax: Perspectives,” will take place at Flux Factory and feature more than a dozen exhibits, including 3-D images of the Clock Tower in Queens Plaza, where the Holocenter was based for several months before moving out last spring.

Maximus Clarke’s “Around the Clock” will feature still images of the interior of the building’s clock on a 10-foot screen, which will change with the sound of a chime to show a panoramic view of the space and can be viewed through glasses to appear three-dimensional, organizers said.

“I think it really brings up some emotions people might have in regards to the disappearance of the Clock Tower,” said Jonah Levy, the group’s project director, referring to the iconic former bank building, which was recently sold as local residents push to have it landmarked.

Friday’s exhibit will also feature works from the Holocenter’s three-month stay on Governors Island, where the group was based this past summer.

“We had a great summer there, we had a whole three-story house to ourselves,” Levy said, saying the organization hopes to return next year. “We really got to explore the island.”

Artist D. Carlton Bright’s piece in Friday’s show, called “Eternal Now,” will feature images of Governors Island itself, as the installation uses 3-D video footage that was captured in Nolan Park.

The show is free. Prints from several installations will also be available for purchase.

“Parallax: Perspectives,” will take place Friday from 7 to 11 p.m. at Flux Factory, located at 39-31 29th St. in Long Island City. For more information, visit The Holocenter’s website.
