On Sunday, runners from around the globe took to the streets for the annual New York City Marathon.
According to the New York Road Runners, which organizes the event each year, it was the largest field in history with a total of 50,266 finishers — more than any marathon in the world.
As per tradition, the runners went through each borough, briefly touring the Long Island City area of Queens.
