The Doughnut Plant Is Coming To Long Island City

By amol on September 25, 2014

Purveyor of the world’s most incredible Tres Leches treats, Doughnut Plant, is heading to Long Island City for its next iteration, opening up an enormous production and retail facility inside the newly minted Falchi Building. The team will take over an 8,495 square foot space in the building’s concourse level to increase their doughnut production from the 4,000 square foot space they operate on the Lower East Side. The space will also include a retail counter where customers can procure some of their delicious doughnuts.

Owner Mark Isreal told us to expect an expansion of everything the Plant offers: “more flavors, more doughnuts, more deliciousness.” That’s a notion we can get behind.

This’ll be the team’s second new outpost announced this year, including a forthcoming Prospect Heights location slated to open sometime next month. “We just work to make the best doughnuts possible and we care about our customers,” Isreal told us. “All the rest is a result of that.”
