Free shuttle bus for Long Island City art

By amol on May 17, 2014

NEW YORK — A new free shuttle bus will transport art lovers around Long Island City’s hip cultural district.

The LIC Art Bus will run on weekends from May 10 through Sept. 14 between noon and 6 p.m.

It will depart from the Socrates Sculpture Park and make stops at The Noguchi Museum, the Sculpture Center and MoMA PS1 before returning to Socrates.

The Socrates is an outdoor museum featuring sculptures and multimedia installations.

The Noguchi Museum is dedicated to the work of sculptor Isamu Noguchi.

The Sculpture Center commissions new works and presents exhibits by emerging and established artists from around the world.

MoMA PS1 is a contemporary art institution and an affiliate of the Museum of Modern Art in Manhattan.
