Queens’ priciest pad on sale at the View

A $2.5 million penthouse in Long Island City is currently the priciest pad on the market in Queens.

Located inside TF Cornerstone’s 186-unit condominium the View, the unit falls short of the borough’s largest record sale so far to date: a $3.1 million penthouse in the same building that changed hands in November 2012. But a sale at the current asking price would nonetheless be a significant uptick from the $1.7 million the current owners paid in July of 2012.

The 1,763-square-foot penthouse features floor-to-ceiling windows and private terraces, making it a smaller but similarly outfitted version of its record-breaking counterpart.

Last year, TF Cornerstone was tapped to develop Hunter’s Point South’s second phase, to consist of a 36-story and 41-story apartment building, with a total of 1,193 units and ODA Architecture handling the project’s design. [Curbed] — Julie Strickland
