New York City police searching for a 14-year-old Queens boy with autism who was reported missing 10 days ago believe that the teen may have traveled to Long Island or New Jersey.

Avonte Oquendo was last seen leaving the Center Boulevard School on 51st Avenue in Long Island City at 12:38 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, according to the NYPD.

An NYPD spokesman said Oquendo’s fascination with trains may have led him onto a Long Island Rail Road train—or any other number of trains in and around the city.

Avonte was last seen wearing a gray striped shirt, black jeans and black sneakers.

The reward for information leading to Oquendo’s safe return has increased to $70,000.

Anyone with information in regards to this missing child is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS, logging on www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or texting 274637(CRIMES), then entering TIP577.
