UPDATE: According to the FDNY, seven people were injured as a result of the collapsed crane. Three are in serious but stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. The remaining four sustained minor injuries.

The Department of Buildings is currently responding to the situation, but say they have no information on it yet.

Metro’s original story is below.

The FDNY received a call at 2:21 p.m. this afternoon, reporting a collapsed crane at 47-27 46th Avenue in Long Island City, Queens.

The FDNY is currently on the scene evaluating injuries, but they do not yet have a count of how many have been injured.

An FDNY spokesperson said that it does not appear that anyone is trapped.
