Police Search for Woman who Bought Jewelry with Stolen Credit Cards

QUEENS — Police are searching for a woman wanted for using stolen credit and debit cards to buy jewelry.

The incident occurred around 1 p.m. on Sept. 4, when a 28-year-old woman’s pocketbook was stolen from underneath a desk. 

Later that day, the victim discovered that someone had made purchases using the credit and debit cards inside her purse at the Sagapo Jewelry store on Steinway Street in Astoria.

The suspect is described as in her 30s with black hair. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt.
