Car Jumps Curb, Plows Through Queens Storefront

By amol on July 17, 2012

A car jumped the curb and plowed through a Queens storefront window early Tuesday, sending shattered glass everywhere, officials said.

No pedestrians were injured when the vehicle crashed through the ground-floor window of the then-vacant building on Jackson Avenue in Long Island City just before 7 a.m. The driver suffered minor injuries, authorities said.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

No further information was immediately available.
