Flood watch lifted for NYC metro area

Quick ReadFlood watch canceled for NYC, Long Island and the Lower Hudson Valley

(AP) — A flood watch for the New York City metro area has been canceled.

National Weather Service meteorologist Joey Picca says the flood watch for New York City, Long Island and the Lower Hudson Valley was lifted around 4 a.m. Monday.

He says a total of 2.87 inches of rain was recorded in Central Park.

Picca says no major flooding was reported in the area.
