Discussion community for folks in the Echelon
Discussion community for folks in 5SL Lofts
Plus a bonus:

Craigslist has a bunch of stuff for sale here in the area. Check out what people are offering (with pictures) on Listpic.
The forums are a fun part of LICNYC, so we hope you use them.
One of the problems that plagues forums all over the web is "spam" -- links to viagra pills and stuff. So you have to become an authorized user in order to post on the forums. But anyone can read.
We have just totally overhauled them to make them way easier to set up and use. If you had trouble in the past, we hope those bugs are fixed. And if they aren't -- just email us at editor at licnyc.com.
Here is how to become a registered user:
1. Click on the link to register for the LICNYC forums
2. Enter a usename, email address and password
3. Wait for the LICNYC editor to approve your account (keeps spammers out)
4. Post away

The all new LICNYC.com is coming soon. Meanwhile, pardon our dust!
LICNYC was started in 2003 to cover the goings on in Long Island City, New York City. Things have changed a lot in the little district from the East River to the Queenboro bridge to the edge of Astoria on Northern Blvd and Queens Blvd.
LICNYC is a blog and community discussion board about the changes in the neighborhood, food and bars, arts and culture, real estate, and other city news that blows through this corner of Queens.
The site is edited by Amol from LIC.
You may have noticed the LICNYC sign near the 7 train line back in 2004.
Write to the editor at licnyc dot com to say hello, to offer to pitch in on the site, or to give your feedback about the site. Hope you like it!
Did you know you can post to LICNYC's gallery to go? Just send an email with an attached photo to account59ice2blog@photos.flickr.com
