A museum in Long Island City is looking to raise money for Puerto Ricans affected by Hurricane Maria.
The Puerto Rico Hurricane Relief Fundraiser will be hosted at MoMA PS1 tonight. The fundraiser was announced by Councilman Jimmy Van Bramer on Twitter last week. All proceeds from the event will go to the Hurricane Maria Community Relief Recovery Fund.
To attend the event, which takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. at 22-25 Jackson Ave., those interested must RSVP and donate a minimum of $20 at the door. Van Bramer and Klaus Biesenbach, director of MoMA PS1, are scheduled to speak.
