This weekend -- party at the Texas Firehouse

A sort of personal outreach from Ken Consumer at the Firehouse

---

I thought I should let you know personally about the party this weekend.

In general our parties begin with an art show, then a performance piece, then a band, then dance until we can't. This time, its silent auction from 8-11, Jeff Thompson performance @ 10, Terrible Eagle performance @ 11 (while the bids are being tallied and sorted) and then dance til you puke.

One of the artists in the auction has an amazing solo show up at Roebling Hall right now, and Wyatt (he lives up at the Firehouse and works @ Surroundart) had a solo show @ Roebling in October. A couple other emerging artists that show in Chelsea have also donated work, and a bunch of my friends from Texas are sending up stuff, and then there's the recent grad school kids...

Anyway, you and/or your friends could walk away with a real steal since we're starting all the bidding @ $20.

All the pertinent information can be found here- www.texasfirehouse.org

If you come out, please come say hi. I'd really love to meet you. Be good.

Best,
Ken
