This is a fantastic article on cool stuff (50 different things) to do in Queens. A few of the things we already knew about, but others of them were a total surprise. For example, last weekend LICNYC tried King Yum (no. 1 on the list).

We would highly recommend it. The food was great. It is the second

oldest Chinese restaurant in New York City and a tiki bar to boot. In reading up about it, we discovered

that there is a website called critiki that catalogues tiki bars all over the world. King Yum has delicious

potent cocktails. The owner is a really sweet fellow who goes from table to table to chat with the

customers. They have karaoke on Wednesday and Friday nights. The decor seems unchanged since the 50s and is very authentic. Overall, a great excursion to take your friends from outside Queens on.
