Greenpoint has lots of big lots. Here is one next to the Key Food and FDNY.

Middle Classness of it all

NYC is re-packing it's old Olympic X plans as a medium-range 'cop and a schoolteacher' apartment plans.

5,000 units means 10,000 people, or roughly double the Queens West project size. It's a big deal.

French, tasty but slow

Good old Cafe Henri. So right, and yet so 'we should go there some other time'.

The crepes are fantastic. Really perfect and well presented. Only thing missing is a bit of the classic accompaniment -- apple cider.

Woe betide you, though, if you though, if you think the place is a cafe for a quick coffee or a bite. The service takes ages and ages.

Though if you want a fine, sit down meal you wouldn't be here either.

There is a single, two hour window each week when this place is perfect: Sunday brunch!

My friend David's liquer, Castries, is on the shelves at Astor Wines and Spirits. All the hoops have been traversed.

Now to look for the take-off.

Tour of East Coast

LICNYC took a tour of the ritzy apartment rentals in the East Coast building. Great views! Apartments were nice -- probably better layouts than Echelon and similar furnishing quality.
