Though FreshDirect is right here in ZIP code 11101, they don't deliver to any addresses but the Queens West towers. Why not? Becuase LIC hasn't asked them to!

LICNYC dropped by today and spoke with a guy in a FreshDirect hat. He said: "we see how many emails we're getting from an area, and if there's enough - we go there." They need a lot of emails to commit a driver to a route.

Right now, the guy who goes to the Queens West towers also does Roosevelt Island. So they'd need to add a new guy to do the rest of LIC.

They are expanding in Queens, by the way -- they recently added Astoria, and they are soon going into Forest Hills.

Why not LIC? They have only received about 50 emails from 11101 requesting it. Time to act up LIC! (Lower East Side has sent about 20,000.)
